OPTIMISM AT IT'S HIGHEST
Posted on 27 September 2010
Between the demands, the competition and the expectations of this world, it is easy to fall victim to insecurities, especially when placed against our talents, beauty and intelligence.
I CAN'T! I AM NOT! I WILL NEVER BE!
Once those negatives have been affirmed in your head they become positively true. Not only manifesting in speech but in act, until your whole negative reflection becomes a reality in every aspect of your life. It’s amazing how much our thoughts can create and direct our reality; it’s equally amazing the power we have to transform our thoughts at any point in time. But before one can exercise their power, they must first exercise their mind to a positive workout. I am talking about a mind workout charged in optimism, done each day till your perspectives and actions in face of life’s curve balls are seen and dealt with, in a positive comeback. Optimism can create a positive outlook but also can improve your health.Studies have shown that thinking positively can reduce cardiovascular disease, make you resistant to colds, keep you physical shape, lower your levels of depression and distress while increasing life your span. Ultimately, making you the confident and happy person that you deserve to be!
Here are some quick simple mental work outs
SAY IT LOUD
Replace negative thoughts by saying out loud positive things about yourself . You will notice a sudden shift in mind and in mood.
MEMORIZE A QUOTE
Find a quote that is both inspirational and positive. Write it down on post-it note. Post the quote on a mirror or in your bedroom and recite it every morning. Through repetition, your mind will absorb the positive words.
Remind yourself and congratulate yourself of all your accomplishments thus far; let not one great achievement go unnoticed.
MEDITATE OR DO YOGA
In each act you are forced focus and are in the present. There is no space for past and future anxieties, just a positive present.
One of the greatest purposes in life involves human beings helping one another. This act alone can bring about reciprocated happiness.
Your dreams are meant to be lived out so, don’t set them aside for fear. Take action today and stop putting it off for tomorrow.
